Ah Yes the Antoine Preziuso Hours of Love with the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing

Source: Google Images I like the detail of her shoes strewn, a champagne bottle and flute on the roof of the car, the architecture has an Oriental flair and her hair very late 70s early 80s, seems like a very special custom piece commemorating a memorable

I’d rather take the 300SL

After more than 30 years I sum up: not a single breakdown, all parts readily available. Runs dependably like a tractor and performs readily like a race horse… Cheers from Old Europe Richard

Hello dear Captain! Wonderful watches in awesome pictures. My favorite shot: the Moonshine on the LV trunk. Superb! You describe to perfection the feelings during those thrilling moments of an unexpected...

... finding. I also agree with you about the Explorer. A watch for any occasion and representative of the history of Rolex. A watch I specially love and yours is a great example of what a collector seeks in a vintage Explorer. I also feel that the Explore

In high school my friend had a white 122. I liked it. When I was younger my uncle had a black 190...

but he traded it in for a 300SL Gullwing (bit of an upgrade) after repeatedly seeing Clark Gable's Gullwing. He frequented my uncle's restaurant in Tahoe City.

9000

That Saab 9000 was one of my dream cars I couldn’t afford back then. I especially liked the 5th door model against the regular boot. Although I couldn’t own one, I have driven them occasionally and they were superb. Nice trip down memory lane (from a 60 y

Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem aka Fuel Injection

We had a little discussion recently about the SPICA fuel injection system in the Alfa Montreal coveted by Nicolas, and it motivated me to create a short post. I will try to explain how these systems work (or not) and why they are better than carburetors (

Unfortunately - financially - I chickened out after 7 years of ownership of the 250 SWBC and stuck to the 300 SL.

As mentioned: In the end the 300SL is the better car to really use. Where would you park an alloy 250 GT on a trip to your favorite coffee shop or on a weekend out? The real bummet was the 904. It had barely more than delivery miles on the clock in 1976.

662 is no vintage watch that’s true. But the closest homage you will get.

If you love vintage , then I would really just get a vintage one or nothing. If not go for the 662. it has a similar look but in a modern way. I like that. It’s probably similar case if you need to decide in between the original 300sl or the new SLS . Hug
